This house is a unique example of the Second Empire style in the neighborhood. Standing three stories high and five bays wide, this house features an elegant Mansard roof punctuated by elaborate dormers with hood moldings. Also typical of the style, the house has a square, symmetrical massing and numerous elaborate decorations. The house is of frame construction and clad in white-painted wood clapboard with asphalt shingle roofing. The roof has a bracketed lower cornice and simple upper cornice topped by a wrought iron cresting. The wrap-around porch is supported by spindle posts with vine brackets and has a delicate spindle balustrade. The windows are one-over-one double hung replacements, except for the original two-over-two arched windows on the third floor. Interior brick chimneys feature at the north and south elevations.
