Sunday March 24th at the East Meadow Library, 1886 Front St, East Meadow, NY 11554 At 2pm

Featuring performances by Sejal Kukadia and Rahel Musleah.

Rahel Musleah will be reading selections from her memoir and Sejal Kukadia will be playing tabla.

At the age of six, Ms. Musleah left Calcutta with her family and moved to
Philadelphia, where her father served as a rabbi. Ms. Musleah’s parents passed down the rich and distinctive Baghdadi-Indian Jewish heritage and emphasized the importance of keeping it alive. And, now she shares them with us.

Sejal was born and raised in upstate New York, the daughter of Indian immigrants, where she was surrounded by traditional Indian musical instruments. Over the years, she has grown to become the only female classical tabla soloist in the United States. Share their traditions with them.
